| Male and Female Black Button Spiders |
| The females are much bigger than males. Females vary from 7-16mm body length and the males 2.5 - 5mm. Females all have the typical spherical-shaped abdomen and long, slender legs. Button Spiders are also known as Widow spiders as females often consume the male after mating. The tiny males have alternating black and creamy stripes across their abdomens and they are too small to bite humans. |
