| Forest Cobra - Defensive Behaviour |
| Preferred habitat is lowland forest and moist savanna where it favours coastal thickets. If disturbed, it is quick to disappear in dense thickets but if cornered will spread a narrow hood and bite readily. This snake is not able to spit its venom. |
